Marketing/PR Coordinator

Downes Construction Company, an Employee Owned Company (, a leading construction management / general contracting firm, is seeking a Marketing/PR Coordinator with 2+ years of experience. Reporting to the Marketing Director, the successful candidate will assist in developing strategic proposal responses and working within a deadline-driven environment. The Marketing/PR Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting in developing and executing digital communication strategies for internal and external campaigns.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing technical proposals, presentations, and qualifications
  • Researching and tracking new business and marketing pursuits
  • Assisting with researching, coordinating and developing award submissions
  • Preparing press releases and coordinating technical articles for publication
  • Maintaining website content, keeping information accurate, timely, and relevant.
  • Assisting with development of communications strategies and campaigns for internal and external audiences
  • Maintaining marketing libraries (experience, resumes, photography, etc.) and databases
  • Managing Social Media Accounts (Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook) and Company Newsletter
  • Coordinating in-house events and corporate functions

 Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant experience (preferred) in the A/E/C or professional services industry
  • Under­stand­ing of the pro­posal process—plan­ning, writ­ing, edit­ing, and pro­duc­tion
  • Experience with SF 330s and other government forms
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign and Photoshop
  • Familiarity with Constant Contact
  • Detail-oriented with excellent proofreading skills
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal and oral/written communication skills
