New Britain Government Center Parking Garage

New Britain’s Government Center needed 1250 spaces in its new parking garage, however, the structure held almost as many challenges as it did cars. It needed to be architecturally distinctive to complement its surroundings. Beyond demanding a high level of security, the structure had to be constructed on highly unsuitable soils, and a portion of the structure had to be constructed during the winter months. Above all, the project had to be completed within a very tight schedule and the GMP cost had to be maintained.
